About Us
On The Fence Reviews
Four guys. One brain cell. Surprisingly solid movie takes.
We’re Josh, Nathan, Aaron, and Peter, a group of Christian movie critics who actually care about storytelling, pacing, character arcs... and making each other laugh mid-review. We break down movies the way real people talk about them, with a mix of sarcasm, insight, and the occasional argument about whether The Matrix is still cool (it is).
Our rating system is simple: Entertainment and Quality. Fun vs. Filmmaking. We give you both, then average the scores for a final verdict. It’s honest, it’s chaotic, and it weirdly works.
New reviews every week. Some short, some long.

Movies have always been more than just entertainment for me, they're a way to explore imagination, truth, and emotion all at once. I’ve always been drawn to films that build entire worlds and challenge the mind, like Inception, The Lord of the Rings, Shutter Island, and Avatar. There’s something powerful about stepping into a story that feels fully realized, where every detail adds depth and meaning. Those are the films that stay with you long after the credits roll.
As a Christian, I also believe stories have the power to reflect deeper truths about who we are, where we’re going, and what we value. On The Fence Reviews was born out of a desire to talk honestly about movies, not just what's good or bad, but why they matter. Whether you're a fellow fan of cinematic world-building or just trying to decide what to watch next, I hope this site helps you find something that sparks curiosity, laughter, or even a little wonder.

I've always loved movies, but more than just watching them, I've loved making them. I've been in the filmmaking and photography world for over 10 years, and that background shapes how I see every frame, every cut, and every performance. I'm drawn to movies that challenge you, surprise you, and say something deeper, whether it's through a beautifully lit scene or a line that hits just right.
As a Christian, I believe good stories reflect something true about life. Thats a big part of why we started On The Fence Reviews, to talk honestly about what movies are saying, what they get right, and where they fall short. We're not here to be critics in suits, just a group of friends who love films and want to help others see them through a more thoughful lens.
If your into movies that make you think, laugh, or argue with your friends afterward, you're in the right place.
